Studio João Queirós is an independent design studio based in Porto. It's work involves multiple forms and practices such as editorial design, creative direction, type design and web-design. Through creative and sustainable strategies and with a special focus on the areas of culture and sport, it always aims to communicate logically and intelligently to the greatest number of people. Creativity, sustainability and inclusivity are therefore our three main pillars when approaching a project.
The studio operates between research practices and the artistic context, always taking into consideration the final purpose of the project and never deviating from the message to communicate.
Recent projects include: visual identity for the 10th edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival; cover design and visual identity for My Deer Watson; graphic design and artistic collaboration with Scroll, the teen debate program on RTP2; poster design for films such as Querido Domingo (with Constança Pinheiro Torres) by Tomás Maia Pinto, Maia by Leonardo Polita and Aria in Vanitas by Francisco Máximo, Maria Sierra, Melanie Fernandez and Valentina Catanho.
